Learn all the ways our physiology offers the possibility for pleasure, healing, and liberation. Read more.
From the time we enter elementary school, we are trained to believe that we are only as good as our last A and that our value exists in achievement rather than who we are. Our sexuality (thankfully) laughs at this. When we attempt to make sex into a challenge, something to "get right," a high stakes endeavor, our brains begin to approach it in the same way we tackled math problems in school: as a cerebral, effortful task rather than an expression, a form of play, a dance. The consequence? Among many, sexual challenges or "dysfunctions," disconnected sex, and ultimately an experience that leaves us hungry.
In this workshop, we will examine the multitude of ways our “training” in what it means to be sexual beings gets in the way of our ability to let-go into an abstract, inherently vulnerable experience. We will delve into all the ways our physiology offers the possibility for pleasure, healing, and liberation if we dare to part ways with our sexual scripts and the “shoulds” we carry into our sexual interactions. And importantly, we will break down actionable steps to get there.
This course is for anyone who feels held back and seemingly not on the same page as their body during sex, as well as for those who generally seek to understand what their sexuality has to offer outside of the influence of stress, anxiety, fear and pressure (spoiler alert, it offers everything).
